What is the Consultation Channel?

It’s an exclusive chat channel with the LactApp experts, where they will answer your questions about breastfeeding and motherhood. This service is included in all LactApp Plus subscription packages.

If I am already a Plus subscriber, do I have to pay extra to access my Consultation Channel?

You don’t have to pay extra. All LactApp Plus subscribers will have access to the Consultation Channel at no additional cost. We have not increased the subscription price either.

How long does it take for the LactApp experts to respond?

Our experts will try to answer you on the same day you write and as soon as possible. If this is impossible, they will respond within the next working day.

What are the opening hours of my Consultation Channel?

The Consultation Channel is open every working day (Spain) between 9:00 and 17:00 CET (Central European Time).

Who answers my questions?

The LactApp team of experts, including IBCLCs and midwives, is a highly trained team led by IBCLCs Alba Padró and Laia Aguilar.

What kind of questions can I ask?

The Consultation Channel is ideal for getting answers to specific questions about your individual breastfeeding experience.

Can I mark my request as urgent?

Our experts will get back to you as soon as possible, usually within the same day you contact us. If this is impossible, they will answer within the next working day. Additionally, we work with automated technology to prioritize urgent requests. However, if your consultation cannot wait, you can contact our clinic and request an urgent visit with our team.

How do I know if it would be better to make an appointment with an expert?

Suppose your consultation is more complex, or you need advice on improving your positioning, attachment, or the baby’s latch. In that case, we recommend booking an individual appointment with one of our experts. This service is not included in the LactApp Plus subscription.

Can I send attachments in my Consultation Channel?

Sometimes, it may be easier for you to send a photo or video to explain your question. So yes, if you wish, you can send audiovisual material through your Consultation Channel.

What happens to my consultation if I no longer have a LactApp Plus subscription?

The Consultation Channel is an exclusive feature for LactApp Plus subscribers. If you stop your subscription, you can no longer access the channel and your message history.

What happens if the subscription ends and my consultation has not been answered?

Unfortunately, we are unable to reply to you once your subscription has expired. We recommend you ensure you still have a few days left on your subscription before starting a new consultation.

If I upgrade to a Plus subscription again, will I be able to access my previous consultation history again?

Yes, your message history will be kept in your Consultation Channel, and when you upgrade again to Plus, you can access it again.

What if I don’t have a Plus subscription but already had a half-open consultation in the Consultation Channel before it became a premium service?

To ensure you can complete your consultation, we will give all users who have used their channel and logged into the app in the last 60 days a 14-day free Plus subscription before the Consultation Channel becomes a premium service. Your 14-day free subscription will be activated automatically.
